This year Tim and I were going to terminate our Christmas Holiday Travel System and do our own thing from here on out. But with all the years' ups and downs we have been given the opportunity to reassess our perspective on family togetherness.
Granted we have much love for our family, but we have a unique position being separated by distance and at times relationships. Ultimately we've decided that the children need to know and feel how much we love them. Even though we are not present for daily/monthly/annual milieu. As for all the adults, we feel that they are fully capable to maintain relations, and as such..... let's just say its a 2 way street. We also realize that certain relations have been damaged by past events/emotions... to that we can say that our love and concern will continue to exist. And that we pray for meaningful experiences and tolerance.
-Ok so that message must have needed to come out because it is not what I was initially going to write about.
With the beginning of December upon us we have realized the blessings for us during these dark economic times our nation is facing and has faced for a year. Tim and I can honestly say that we have not felt the panic, stress or fear that this last year has induced for sooo many other families. Our Heavenly Father continues to remember us. We have heeded the messages of self-reliance and preparedness. Though we still have a long way to go we actually feel the comfort and warmth of love, guidance, and security. Tim and I know that we are on the right paths of life and it feels great to enjoy the scenery of those check points in life. And as experienced travelers in life we know the worth is based on the clarity.
I am sooo grateful for my husband who has learned to manage the load that he carries. It is exciting and frustrating (at times) for me to see how he makes his adjustments. He is a very hard worker who is realizing that with time and skilled experience, the work load won't be nearly
as pressing. My graduate student is continuing to lead the way in his classes, and is glad to be challenged in different ways. Honey, keep up the good work!
As for me, I have been turning heads at work. Though it is a good feeling to know that your work is being noticed. I am glad to bring in the festive spirit of the holidays and take part in these resident's lives. In addition to work I am on the hunt to find us a house that we can turn into a home.
