Fun with the fam / Rain Rain Rain

Well the fun is over but it was awesome while it lasted. We had Sonia's sisters over to our home and Michelle brought her little ones to. I really enjoyed playing with Sergio and Sofia and I was totally amazed at the amount of energy they have. Needless to say there was plenty of games and rides on my back, and I loved coming home from work to see those two little faces so happy to see me.

It was a reunion of sorts but also a chance to Celebrate Melissa's birthday. Sonia took them out to surprise Melissa with a chance to go indoor sky diving, she was soooo nervous but she couldn't get shown up by an 80 year old so she decided she'd better grin and bare it. I think after it was all said and done she had a really good time, and it really is a life experience to do indoor sky diving. For those of you who don't know it's basically a huge fan in the desert that blows upwards and went you get in it, it feels like your floating and air and of course you make all kinds of funny faces. We were also able to visit the Phoenix Zoo together and Sonia even took Michelle and the kids to see the huge water fountain in Fountain Hills.

We had times to talk, and times to play, it was really an amazing time for Sonia and I and we were so sad to see them go, it was really really great to have family stay with us for a little while. Thanks to Michelle and Melissa, we love your guts!

The RAIN!
It seemed that as soon as Sonia's sisters left even Mother Nature was sad and it's been raining ever since, and today one of the biggest storm ever in the history of Arizona has been passing through. I was unlucky enough to get caught in it on the way home from work and on top of being soaked when I got home, I came home to find that we had a serious leak in the upstairs bathroom. After some contemplating and some do it yourself house surgery we found the source of the leak. It was a single nail that hadn't been properly protected from the rain and the water was just pouring down off the nail into the attic and down into the bathroom. So, we'll be paying to get that fixed. Oh well, can't win em all. The rain is scheduled to continue through the weekend and we plan to stay as dry as possible.

Other than that we're back into the swing of things, the semester has started and I'm back teaching and taking 2 courses this semester, seems that this will be a busy one. I so grateful to have Sonia with me and plan to have a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary with her in Feb.

Hope your all well, we love you.
