Here we go...

So we are finally catching up with the technology trend of blogging---

What have we been up to??? Well as most of you know Tim and I are college graduates. Yes, I am now done. And can I just show off a little--- I know I'm so full of myself-- just bare with me.

***I have graduated with honors 3.7 GPA Yippee!***
That is Magna Cum Laude!
Tim is also a honoree of Magna Cum Laude, with a 3.69 GPA, for his BA in 3D Art and Animation.

Ok, I'm composed now. Really, accomplishing this task has been one of the greater opportunities in my life (I know that I would not have done it if it weren't for Tim working at ASU-Blessing!). And although it was years past due, I feel that I really learned more as an adult then I would of as the younger version of myself (I admit it I was immature). My life experiences, before and during my academic degree, have added to my, thoughts, concerns, and understandings about my future lifestyles. Tim is so glad that I have regained my ambition for life and achievement.

Speaking of achievements, Tim has decided to get a graduate degree. After months of going back and forth on this issue he realized that his/our future has greater potential, with his refined knowledge, talents, and skills. I am so proud of him. He continues to amaze me--- when he wants to ;) Anywho Tim's graduate program is set up for student's to finish in a years time. But due to Tim's full time work schedule, he has the flexibility to get it done at his pace. ASU's graduate programs usually speculate this from their graduate students so they have an allowance of 6 years for completion. We know it will not take that long. His goal is to finish before 2 years... I think we can manage that! Go Tim, Go!

I just want to let everyone in on a little somethin', somethin'....
For years, and years my Dad made sure that I knew how close he was to getting a college degree. Well, as the years went on that bit of information settled in my brain. So directly after high school--- I'm talking less then a week after I graduated--- I started my own college adventure. Due to primarily financial circumstance, I had the determination to get my Associates in a year and 5 weeks. And I did exactly that. Just as I was finishing, I mean weeks before I was completely done my dad had a near fatal car accident. At the time I knew he/we were lucky for him to have survived, with no sever life threatening disorders and no Traumatic Brain Injury. As soon as my dad had consciousness as was able to communicate he sent word for me to not leave school (I still have his notes). I should just finish. When I heard that message it brought tears to my eyes because that is what I told myself he would say, the instant I found out about his accident. Fast forward to weeks after my marriage to Tim, Dad was on my back, constantly, to get back to school and get a bachelors. I gave him excuse after excuse. Apparently two AA degrees were not good enough. Yes, in-between I completed Massage Therapy School, and was a licensed MT. Back to the excuses... He just wasn't satisfied with any of them. Finally after 5 years Dad's prayers were answered (for me that is-- Michelle (my youngest Sis) was months from being the first with a Bachelors). I was accepted to ASU and was ready to take on the academic challenge. Can I just say that it was nice to end a conversation with my Dad and not feel pressure. Anways, as luck would have it my last official day of ASU internship was on my Dad's 59th Birthday. I thought it would be a great Birthday Present! He was more excited to be able to work on the house project and get together with the Houston Family. MAN I JUST CAN'T PLEASE HIM. hahaha!
