Dodging Ninja's, Segways, and Finishing up the Semester

Well first of all I have to make a comment about a hilarious story I heard about my Sister Michelle. It seems her vehicle was attacked by Ninjas! Apparently there was a ninja throwing star lodged in one of her tires! When I heard that I was rolling with Laughter! And let that be a lesson to all of you out there who thought Ninjas just weren't around anymore....there out there.....and Michelle knows now. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as you can tell I'm definitely in a good mood, and I would say that some of that is due to the story above, however I have to give most of the credit to the fact that this semester is winding down and I just finished the Final for my Cross-Media Design class online which was a real bear, the assignment was to basically create a brand from scratch and draft a proposal that could be given to Client X for them to approve, and it had to be a brand that could really propel their company forward. Also the class that I'm teaching this semester is coming to an end. On May 11th my students will be presenting their final projects and I hope that they'll all be complete.
They've really come along way this semester and I'm excited to see the results.

I've spoken with ASU and they want me to teach 2 classes in the fall so I'll pretty much be taking over the animation program which consists of those 2 classes. It will be nice to be able to teach both and control a little better the content that is taught in both classes.

I also had a GREAT opportunity to goto Segway Training at work. That's right I said Segway.
I was skeptical at first having seen a few segway riders in my time and I remember commenting how stupid they look or "oh they must be really lazy". But while I took the training, I started to realize what a super cool invention it really is. Riding a segway is so natural, it's the perfect extension of yourself. After you've been riding for a while you almost forget your on it and the control becomes second nature to you. I had soooo much fun riding, our instructor took us around campus and we got to go over all kinds of terrain....grass...gravel.....steep ramps up... and steep ramps down. It was really an exciting time. Our department at work has 1 segway and I'm sure I'll be trying to get as much time on that as possible, it really is a great avenue for transportation. I told Sonia that I would love to have one and she is unsure about that, I believe one of the concerns was that I would get jumped and have it taken from me, well that might be true considering all the Ninja activity of late. :) LOL! But anyway it was really fun to try out some new technology and really get used to getting around on a segway, if you ever get the chance to ride one I say take it and enjoy yourself.

Well that's all for now, we're still waiting to see what develops with our housing hopes and we're trying to be as patient as we can. I think that we will be able to get a house that fits our needs and our wants. Anyway hope your all well, we love you!
