A Busy Summer, add in some weddings.

Well summer is over and I'm glad that the temperature here is finally starting to become really beautiful. Sonia and I are slowly settling into our new place and it still hasn't really hit us that we are officially home owners. (Maybe some day it will) We've definitely kept busy and I really enjoyed being able to listen to conference last weekend. Hearing from the prophets and learning at their feet are humbling and awe inspiring moments.

Sonia has been working so hard and really connecting with and making some progress with her patients at work. I'm still working to much and struggling to stay afloat amidst the class that I'm teaching and the class that I'm taking and then work and my other work and then some more work. Oh and we just bought a house to, did I mention that. ;) No really it's been a rough summer but I'm glad to move forward from this point, we've got so much good stuff ahead of us to look forward too.

October is turning out to be a busy month. We just attended a wedding for one of my co-workers and really had a good time, it was the first time in a long time that we had that much social interaction all at one time. I think it was a little over welming but we handled it well. The wedding was held out doors and really far away in Buckeye but it was really beautiful as well and hey we got a free meal out of it. And speaking of weddings we have another one to attend in November for Sonia's cousin and we also have the baptism of my nephew Michael in Nov which I am really looking forward to. My sister in law asked me to baptize him and I'm really humbled and grateful that she thought of me to do this honor. Michael is a really good kid and a great nephew and I hope he is really excited to get baptized. And to finish off the busy-ness we have the Garner Family Weekend this coming week in Boulder City Nevada. It should be allot of fun and a time to relax and enjoy each others company. Still a ton of planning to be done on my part but I feel like we'll all have a really good time no matter what.

I am so grateful to Sonia for putting up with me and being patient while I'm gone for long hours. I know she misses me heaps and I really am glad to come home and be with here even for the short times that we have before work or homework calls my name again. I feel very blessed to have a wonderful wife and friend to call mine. This new house has given us lots of stuff to think about and do and a little stress but I'm glad we get to do those things together.

Overall it's been really busy time and probably will be again for the next few months, hopefully we can change things up and find time to relax in the near future.

You guys always amaze me with what you are able to do. We are so excited that you are homeowners. Its funny to hear Michael suggest when they see your house pics on the blog that maybe we should just go over there for the holiday, you know Mom...do something different like that. With a house there will "ALWAYS" something that needs attention or as we say in Texas "fixin" but remember to make my sister "breathe, sit down and relax" and just enjoy what you both have worked so hard to accomplish. We really are proud of you both and are grateful to know that are part of our family.
